Tea has long been thought of as a healthy superfood by many. Hard not to think that with its Polyphenols and Antioxidants. But there is still a lot that is unknown about the benefits of tea and what exactly it can do for one's health. There are many studies that show definite signs of positive impacts on one's health as long as the tea is not supped on when it is too hot. But not all leaves are equal. When you grow tea in the USA vs Japan you now have to study the plant's performance based on the different growing conditions.
So with the help of the University of Texas we are doing just that.
Our Mississippi tea is being studied for its health benefits.
For the last few years we have been sharing our tea leaves for research. We have recently shipped 3lbs of tea leaves to the University of Texas MD Anderson to help in the fight against Cancer. Our tea leaves continue to be used in their very important research.
This is our 3rd year, contributing to their study. Once the study is complete, the University will publish its findings, which we will be able to share with you.
Cancer touches so many lives and we appreciate the efforts of all the researchers who work tirelessly to find a cure. We will continue to support this important research as needed and share with everyone any learning we get along the way.
Study will support claims (or prove otherwise) that our teas have health benefits.
Before we shout out to our customers that our tea can benefit your health, we must support that claim with some science. We love science here at the tea farm and use it everyday so why would it be any different than with our final product.
For now, you will not hear us claim it will save you from anything despite our strong theory that it is beneficial. But for now until the science is back, it is only a theory that still needs to be proven.
And no matter what, it is still a wonderful beverage to be enjoyed.
